Job Description:

  1. Develop automated tests using Selenium or Cypress, JavaScript, and Java to validate the functionality and performance of web and mobile applications.
  2. Actively participate in software development and test estimation, ensuring that automated testing is accounted for in planning and acceptance criteria.
  3. Collaborate with the development team and other stakeholders in sprint planning/review meetings, feature design/story definition, daily scrum meetings, estimation discussions, and project reviews.
  4. Contribute to and evaluate the team’s Conditions of Satisfaction, Definition of Done, and Acceptance Criteria to ensure effective planning and execution of testing activities.
  5. Have 5-7 years of overall experience with a minimum of 4+ years of functional & automation experience, with a focus on testing both web and mobile applications.
  6. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and experience in building or using an automation pipeline such as Jenkins.
  7. Be a team player, willing to share knowledge and learn from fellow team members, and collaborate on problem-solving across platforms.
  8. Demonstrate a passion for writing highly reliable code and delivering high-quality software solutions.
  9. Understand typical web application architecture, including data, application, and web tiers.
  10. Possess self-motivation, autonomy, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  11. Display a strong sense of ownership and accountability for assigned tasks.
  12. Exhibit strong debugging and problem-solving skills, enabling the identification and resolution of defects effectively.
  13. Ability to quickly adapt to and learn new technologies.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  2. A minimum of 4+ years of experience in functional and automation testing, with expertise in Selenium or Cypress for test automation.
  3. Proven experience in testing both web and mobile applications.
  4. Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and experience with Jenkins or similar automation pipelines.
  5. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and contributing to collective success.
  8. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality and reliable software applications.
  9. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
