Position: Automation Testing Engineer
Location: Pune, India (WFH Permanent)
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Automation Testing Engineer to drive our automation testing efforts. The candidate should have a strong background in test automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies. As an Automation Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to validate the functionality and performance of our software applications. The role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Automation Test Development:
- Design and develop automation test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Implement and maintain automated test suites for various software components and applications.
- Conduct test case design and execution to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Test Frameworks and Tools:
- Evaluate and select appropriate automation testing tools and frameworks.
- Enhance existing automation frameworks to improve test efficiency and effectiveness.
- Test Execution and Reporting:
- Execute automated test suites to validate software functionality and performance.
- Analyze test results and report defects in a clear and concise manner.
- Generate and maintain test reports, metrics, and status updates.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and manual testers.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide testing updates and progress.
- Test Process Improvement:
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the testing process.
- Implement automation best practices and standardization.
- Test Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with QA Leads and Project Managers to define automation test strategy.
- Assist in test planning and effort estimation for automation testing activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in automation testing.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber).
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Hands-on experience with web-based application testing and APIs.
- Knowledge of database querying (SQL) for test data manipulation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation testing.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
