Position: Automation Testing Engineer
Location: Bangalore and Pune
We are currently seeking an experienced Automation Testing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience and possess strong skills in API testing, integration testing, debugging, and database operations. This position is available in Bangalore and Pune locations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
- Conduct API testing, with a strong focus on REST API testing, to validate the functionality and performance of APIs.
- Perform integration testing on distributed and integrated systems, ensuring seamless communication and handshake across different systems and services.
- Utilize debugging skills to monitor and analyze system-generated logs using tools such as Splunk, WinScp, or other available market tools.
- Connect to servers and perform troubleshooting using UNIX commands or other relevant terminal commands.
- Employ database skills to execute basic SQL queries and handle less complex JOIN operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and quality assurance, to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and prioritization activities.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in automation testing and quality assurance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience as an Automation Testing Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proven experience in automation testing and developing test scripts.
- Strong skills in API testing, with hands-on experience in testing REST APIs.
- Solid understanding of integration testing principles and experience working with distributed and integrated systems.
- Proficiency in debugging and monitoring system-generated logs using tools like Splunk, WinScp, or similar tools.
- Ability to connect to servers and perform troubleshooting using UNIX commands or relevant terminal commands.
- Good knowledge of databases, including basic SQL and less complex JOIN operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
