Job Summary:

Wipro is seeking an experienced Automation Tester – Test Engineer with a solid background in building automated testing scripts and test automation frameworks, preferably within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts for digital applications, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the advancement of our testing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automation scripts for various digital applications, including web and mobile platforms.
  • Manage regression, functional, and integration scripting from an automated testing perspective.
  • Execute automated test cases, record test results, analyze test failures, and report issues using JIRA.
  • Maintain test data required for both manual and automated testing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test automation is integrated seamlessly into development sprints.
  • Independently handle Selenium testing automation activities as part of sprint cycles.
  • Utilize knowledge of other automation platforms such as UFT, Tosca, and integrate test automation with continuous testing tools like Jenkins.
  • Implement and work with automation frameworks, including TestNG and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in version control systems (preferably GIT), and build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • Exhibit an understanding of additional testing areas, such as API testing and performance testing.
  • Apply strong knowledge of QA methodologies and testing techniques across different project phases, including functional, non-functional, and system integration testing.
  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum processes and participate effectively within an Agile team environment.
  • Leverage financial services or banking experience to enhance testing efforts and provide valuable insights.

Key Requirements & Skills:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Selenium test automation.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing automation scripts for various digital applications.
  • Knowledge of other automation platforms like UFT and Tosca is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with continuous testing practices and integrating test automation using tools like Jenkins.
  • Experience working with frameworks, particularly TestNG and BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
