Job Summary:

As an Automation Tester at our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of software applications. You will be responsible for conducting functional testing, performance testing, stress testing, and testing of mobile-based and web-based applications. Proficiency in Selenium and other automation testing tools is essential to succeed in this role. You will work closely with the development and quality assurance teams to identify defects and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Functional Testing: Conduct thorough functional testing to verify that software applications meet the specified requirements and perform as expected.
  2. Performance Testing: Design and execute performance tests to assess the responsiveness and scalability of applications under different conditions.
  3. Stress Testing: Conduct stress tests to evaluate the system’s robustness and identify its breaking points.
  4. Mobile and Web Testing: Test mobile-based and web-based applications to ensure seamless functionality and user experience across platforms.
  5. Automation Testing: Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
  6. Test Planning: Collaborate with the quality assurance and development teams to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  7. Defect Identification: Report and track defects using appropriate defect tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  8. Test Execution: Execute test cases and document test results, providing clear and concise reports to stakeholders.
  9. Regression Testing: Perform regular regression testing to ensure that software updates and changes do not adversely impact existing functionality.
  10. Test Environment Setup: Configure and maintain the test environments necessary for conducting various types of tests.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and methodologies to enhance overall quality assurance practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. 2-6 years of experience as an Automation Tester or a similar role in software testing.
  2. Strong knowledge of functional testing, performance testing, stress testing, and mobile-based and web-based application testing.
  3. Proficiency in automation testing tools, with a focus on Selenium.
  4. Familiarity with scripting and programming languages used in test automation.
  5. Experience in designing and executing test plans and test cases.
  6. Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  8. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in testing activities.
  9. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
