Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic Automation Test Lead with 5-8 years of experience in automation testing, particularly in working with Protractor, Playwright, and WebIO. The ideal candidate should possess strong coding skills, be well-versed in Java Script, and demonstrate the ability to design and implement automation frameworks. The Automation Test Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish efficient testing procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software testing practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain automation frameworks from scratch, leveraging tools such as Protractor, Playwright, Web Driver IO, and Cypress.
  • Lead the design and execution of automation test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand requirements, create test cases, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Mentor and guide team members in writing efficient and effective automation scripts, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Perform code reviews to maintain the quality of automation scripts and frameworks, and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Create and manage test data, environment setup, and test execution schedules to ensure efficient testing processes.
  • Perform both manual and automated testing based on project requirements, ensuring the highest level of quality.
  • Interact directly with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on testing progress, and address any concerns or issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve defects and technical issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in automation testing and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies.
  • Provide leadership in test planning, estimation, and reporting for assigned projects.
  • Independently manage daily tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet project timelines while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience of 5-8 years in automation testing with a strong focus on Protractor, Playwright, Web Driver IO, and Cypress.
  • Expertise in JavaScript programming and the ability to design and code automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Proficiency in manual testing techniques, understanding when to apply manual vs. automation testing.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and the ability to write complex queries for data validation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills with the capability to interact with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative testing environment.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and tools is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in software testing, automation, or related fields are advantageous.
