Summary: Global Software Resources (GSR) is seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience in IT and systems specialist roles, with a strong background in test automation frameworks and multiple test automation tools like Microfocus UFT and Selenium. Knowledge of different types of tests, such as functional, performance, and load testing, is essential. As an Automation Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in writing test scripts, conducting verification, and troubleshooting issues to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Responsibilities:

As an Automation Test Engineer at Global Software Resources, your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks and test scripts. Your roles and responsibilities will include:

  1. Test Automation Framework: Understand and work with existing test automation frameworks, and contribute to the development of new frameworks as needed.
  2. Test Automation Tools: Utilize and be proficient in multiple test automation tools such as Microfocus UFT, Selenium, etc., to perform automated testing efficiently.
  3. Test Types: Familiarity with different types of tests, including functional, performance, load testing, etc., and implement appropriate testing strategies as per project requirements.
  4. Test Script Development: Create, write, and maintain test scripts to validate software functionalities and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  5. Verification and Troubleshooting: Execute test scripts and analyze test results, identifying defects and troubleshooting issues as needed.
  6. Tools Proficiency: Knowledge and experience with Splunk and Jenkins, and an understanding of how to use GIT for version control.
  7. Log Analysis: Read and analyze traces and logs from various tools to identify system issues and improve test effectiveness.
  8. Automated Test Cases: Work on creating automated test cases for Teamcenter and NX, where applicable.
  9. Test Documentation: Maintain clear and organized documentation related to test cases, test scripts, and test results.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in IT and systems specialist roles, with a focus on test automation.
  2. Test Automation Tools: Proficiency in multiple test automation tools, such as Microfocus UFT, Selenium, etc.
  3. Testing Types: Strong understanding of different testing types, including functional, performance, and load testing.
  4. Test Scripting: Hands-on experience in writing and maintaining test scripts for automated testing.
  5. Splunk and Jenkins: Familiarity with Splunk and Jenkins for log analysis and continuous integration.
  6. Version Control: Knowledge of GIT for version control and collaborative development.
  7. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E / B.Tech) or Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA) or equivalent from a reputed institute.
