Job Role and Responsibilities: As an Automation Test Engineer – APPIUM at Spruce InfoTech, Inc, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software applications through effective automation testing practices. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and execute automation test scripts using APPIUM, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

- Utilize your deep technical expertise and hands-on experience in automation testing, Java programming, Selenium, and APPIUM to design and execute robust automation test scripts.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and compatibility of software applications across different platforms and devices.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to understand project requirements, create test plans, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of mobile applications using APPIUM, identifying and reporting defects, and working closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process by identifying areas for automation, efficiency enhancements, and best practices implementation.
- Perform regression testing to validate new feature releases and code changes, ensuring that existing functionalities remain unaffected.
- Execute performance testing to assess the responsiveness and scalability of applications, identifying bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
- Proactively participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical meetings to provide valuable insights and contribute to the overall quality of the software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in automation testing and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in automation testing, with a strong focus on APPIUM, Java, and Selenium.
- Solid understanding of mobile application testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in creating, enhancing, and maintaining automation test scripts using APPIUM for both Android and iOS platforms.
- Strong programming skills in Java, along with experience in test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with API testing, mobile device testing, and cross-browser testing.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
- Previous experience with contract-to-hire arrangements and engagement with multinational corporations is a plus.
