Job Summary: As an Automation QA Engineer at Oracle, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your expertise in automation testing, coupled with your strong technical skills, will be instrumental in designing and executing effective automated test suites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive test strategies and drive the automation efforts to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet our clients’ needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain automation test scripts using industry-standard automation frameworks, tools, and technologies.
  2. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements, identify test scenarios, and design effective test cases.
  3. Design, develop, and execute automated test suites to validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of software products.
  4. Implement and enhance test automation frameworks, ensuring their reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
  5. Conduct code reviews of automation scripts to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and maintainability.
  6. Execute automated test suites and analyze test results, identifying and documenting defects with clear steps to reproduce.
  7. Collaborate with development teams to investigate and resolve defects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
  8. Continuously enhance and optimize automated test suites, incorporating new features and improving test coverage.
  9. Participate in test planning, estimation, and risk analysis activities, contributing to the overall project planning and execution.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation testing, bringing innovation and improvements to the QA process.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the QA process.
  12. Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing automation best practices and fostering their professional growth.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4 to 10 years of experience in automation testing, with a focus on designing and executing automated test suites.
  • Strong expertise in automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C# for test script development.
  • Experience with version control systems, bug tracking tools, and test management tools.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of database concepts and SQL for backend testing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products within scheduled timelines.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment, adhering to Agile principles and practices.
