Position: Automation QA Engineer
Location: Pune
Position Overview: StoneX is looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join our team in Pune. As an Automation QA Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing automated test scripts, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify defects, participate in test planning, and continuously improve our testing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Execute and analyze automated test results, identify defects, and report issues to the development team.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Participate in test planning activities, including defining test objectives, strategies, and schedules.
- Work closely with the development team to review and provide feedback on functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the QA team to improve existing testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends and technologies to continuously improve automation frameworks and tools.
- Provide support to the QA team in manual testing efforts as needed.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Work in an Agile development environment, participating in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in a software development environment.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Experience with test automation frameworks, such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Robot Framework.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard tools for defect tracking and test management, such as Jira, HP ALM, or TestRail.
- Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
