Position: Automation Engineer

Location: Chennai

We are currently seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Chennai. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, with specific experience in tools like Cypress and a good understanding of Agile principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Automation Testing: With a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on automation testing experience, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test cases. Your expertise in test automation tools like Cypress, with proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript, will be essential in creating robust and efficient automation solutions.
  • API Testing: You should have hands-on experience in creating, updating, and executing API automated test cases. Your understanding of API testing methodologies and tools will enable you to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our API integrations.
  • Agile Principles: A good understanding of Agile principles is required for this role. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in an Agile development environment. Your ability to adapt to changing requirements and deliver quality results within sprints will be essential.
  • IPAAS-Based Architecture: Experience in automating IPAAS-based architecture software/applications will be an added advantage. Your familiarity with IPAAS platforms and their integration requirements will enable you to effectively automate testing for such environments.
  • CI/CD Cloud Setups: Experience in CI/CD cloud setups will be an added advantage. Your knowledge of cloud-based continuous integration and deployment practices will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our automation testing process.
  • TDD (Test-Driven Development): Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) will be an added advantage. Your ability to collaborate with developers and write automated tests early in the development process will enhance the quality and reliability of our software.
  • AWS Environments: Experience in AWS environments, such as Lambda functions and DynamoDB, will be advantageous. Your familiarity with AWS services will contribute to the successful automation and testing of our applications hosted on the AWS platform.
  • Max Budget, Work Location, and Notice Period: The maximum budget for this position is 8 LPA. The work location is Chennai, and the notice period is either immediate or 30 days.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on automation testing experience.
  • Hands-on experience in test automation tool Cypress, with proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Experience in creating, updating, and executing API automated test cases.
  • Good understanding of Agile principles.
  • Experience in automating IPAAS-based architecture software/applications is an added advantage.
  • Experience in CI/CD cloud setups is an added advantage.
  • Experience in TDD is an added advantage.
  • Experience in AWS environments like Lambda functions, DynamoDB, etc., is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
