Responsibilities:

1. Requires 4 years of related experience in software development and test engineering, with a focus on API testing.
2. Lead and coordinate API testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle, working closely with developers and other stakeholders.
3. Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for API testing to ensure thorough test coverage.
4. Conduct API testing using various protocols and technologies, including HTTP, JSON, XML, and REST.
5. Utilize API testing tools and frameworks, particularly Postman, to automate test execution and improve testing efficiency.
6. Manage QA jobs using Jenkins, ensuring automated test suites are scheduled and executed in a timely manner.
7. Perform basic SQL queries to validate data and verify data integrity during API testing.
8. Collaborate with the development and QA teams to identify, report, and prioritize defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
9. Maintain test environments and test data required for API testing activities.
10. Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for test case management and project documentation.

Desired Skills:

1. At least 3+ years of hands-on experience in API testing with a strong understanding of API protocols and technologies.
2. Proficient in developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for API testing.
3. Hands-on experience with API testing tools and frameworks, especially Postman.
4. Ability to lead and coordinate API testing efforts across different projects and releases.
5. Familiarity with test automation using Jenkins, ensuring the successful execution of automated test suites.
6. Basic SQL skills to validate data and perform database testing during API testing activities.
7. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, with experience in using Jira for defect tracking and project management.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, report, and resolve defects effectively.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
