Position: API Automation Testing
Location: PAN INDIA
Overview: TCS, a leading global IT services and consulting firm, is seeking experienced professionals for the role of API Automation Testing. As an API Automation Tester, you will be responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of REST APIs. We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in API testing techniques, knowledge of Postman, and the ability to develop and maintain API automation frameworks. Responsibilities:
- Utilize Postman and demonstrate hands-on knowledge of API testing techniques.
- Test REST APIs and develop comprehensive API regression test cases.
- Develop and maintain API automation frameworks to ensure efficient and reliable testing.
- Analyze test results and update existing test suites to accommodate API changes.
- Conduct basic levels of module and integration testing in adherence to process standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand API requirements and test scenarios.
- Identify and document defects, track them to closure, and participate in defect triage meetings.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure the quality of APIs.
- Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in API testing and automation.
Requirements:
- 5-6 years of relevant experience in API Automation Testing.
- Proficiency in using Postman for API testing and validation.
- Hands-on experience in testing REST APIs and developing API regression test cases.
- Strong knowledge of API testing techniques, including functional, performance, and security testing.
- Experience in developing and maintaining API automation frameworks.
- Ability to analyze test results and update existing test suites to accommodate API changes.
- Basic understanding of module and integration testing processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
