Position: Healthcare QE Analyst

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to understand software requirements and specifications.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of healthcare software applications.
  • Perform manual testing of software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing of healthcare data formats, specifically EDI X12/834/835/837 (with a focus on 235 formats), to verify data accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve software defects or issues identified during testing.
  • Utilize JIRA or other issue tracking systems to log and track defects, enhancements, and feature requests.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on test execution progress, defects, and test coverage to stakeholders.
  • Continuously enhance and improve the QA process by identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience as a Healthcare QE Analyst or similar role, preferably in a healthcare software development environment.
  • Strong expertise in automation testing, including developing and executing automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in manual testing methodologies, including creating test plans, test cases, and executing tests.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology and experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with EDI X12/834/835/837 healthcare data formats, particularly 235 formats, and the ability to perform end-to-end testing and validation of these formats.
  • Experience with testing tools such as JIRA, test management systems, and defect tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software testing best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
