About The Role

This position is responsible for all aspects of the test cycle including, but not limited to, the design and creation of test cases, design and implementation of manual and automated tests, executing test scripts as well as the proper documentation of defects. This position requires expertise with a variety of testing techniques such as exploratory testing, white/black box, etc. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and must have experience in software testing using Agile Scrum methodology.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that all applications tested meet the standards of quality, usability and performance established by the organization
  • Responsible for testing in an Agile environment
  • Responsible for the creation of detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Responsible for leading testing efforts, all testing related activities, design and implementation of manual and automated tests
  • Responsible for the creation and execution of test scripts, for comprehensive testing during regression and integration testing
  • Should be able to investigate non-conforming issues/defects to then implement adequate solutions
  • Responsible for the creation of adequate reports for the reporting of test results
  • Responsible for defect reporting and resolution
  • Drive innovation and streamline overall testing practices
  • Should be able to communicate testing progress, test results, and quality metrics with stakeholders, including technical and non-technical resources across the organization.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a QA or testing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to develop test strategies, software QA test plans and detailed test cases.
  • Experience testing following Agile Scrum Methodology.
  • Experience following all aspects of the SDLC.
  • Demonstrable understanding of how to create functional automated tests.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and integrate new technologies for the purposes of testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Java, JMeter, Postman, or others
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience performing end to end testing, including regression.
  • Should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written).
  • Experience in coordinating simultaneous assignments by assessing project deadlines, establishing work priorities, and coordinating personal work schedules.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
