We are seeking an Automation Lead Engineer/Software Tester with 5-8 years of experience in the software testing field, with a primary focus on automation scripting for REST API testing. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions and interface with internal and external technical resources
Responsibilities:
- Platform Sprint Activities: Collaborate with the platform sprint team to contribute to the testing activities within the sprint.
- Automation Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts to test various services and REST APIs.
- Manual and Automation Testing: Perform manual and automation testing of APIs, services, and applications to verify their functionality and performance.
- Defect Management: Manage the defect and story tracking process, including interfacing with multiple components to monitor and manage defects in software.
- Test Plan and Test Case Preparation: Prepare comprehensive test plans and write test cases, including defining acceptance criteria.
- Bug Identification and Tracking: Identify, record, document, and track bugs throughout the testing process.
- Clear Test Documentation: Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and other testing documentation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Interact with sponsors, stakeholders, and business analysts to ensure effective communication and alignment on testing activities.
- Project Management: Collaborate with the team to develop project plans and manage the team’s performance in executing project tasks.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
- 5-8 years of overall experience in the software testing field.
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in automation scripting for REST API testing.
- Proficiency in REST API endpoint testing using the REST-Assured framework.
- Experience in BDD framework (Behavior Driven Development) using Cucumber.
- Proficiency in Selenium with Java.
- Good to have experience with Postman.
- Solid experience in manual testing.
- Familiarity with test tracking and reporting systems.
- Experience with Agile development practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions and interface with internal and external technical resources.
